Some years ago I felt I missed something in my general knowledge of why we produce and buy organic products. My increasing interest of biodynamic wines led me this book by the iconic winemaker Nicolas Joly. The book tells in epic, lyrical language about a more holistic  way of how to look at and understand nature and how to exploit it without destroying it. A must read for anyone interested in understanding why you should choose organic.  

How many times haven't we purchased a cooking book or been looking for one with the right balance of recipes and instructive pictures, and finally got home emptyhanded or perhaps with the best available option - now gathering dust at the kitchen shelves. 

When it comes to chocolate, I also waded through  several  book stores, until I found this excellent piece of mouth- watering and indulging chocolate book. It's by William Curley, a Scottish world class chocolatier with a long list of awards surrounding him. 

I bought my book in his now closed shop in Richmond, London, but his chocolates are still being sold in Harrods and online in the British capital. 

After I started to introduce this blog three years ago this documentary at Netflix was a brilliant contribution to the discussion of sustainability.It still is, and a very important contribution to understand the importance of the issue.

It is a must-see 

Jonathan Safran Foer is one of my favourite authors. Last year he contributed to the discussion of what we need to do as minimum as humanity if to save the earth. 

JSF is extremely good with words and to find unique historical cases to underline his point. In this book by describing hilarious and grotesque stories to show us how we ought to act.
